Green Diesel Production via Deoxygenation Process: A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
The environmental impact of traditional fuels and related greenhouse gas emissions (GHGE) has promoted policies driven towards renewable fuels. This review deals with green diesel, a biofuel obtained by catalytic deoxygenation edible non-edible biomasses. Green biodiesel, petrodiesel are compared, diesel being the best option in terms physical–chemical properties reduction GHGE. process types catalysts, feedstocks, operating conditions presented. Reactor configurations also discussed, summarizing experimental studies. Several simulations economic analyses—up to larger scales—are gathered from literature that analyze potential as substitute for petrodiesel. In addition, current industrial processes production introduced. Future research development efforts should concern catalysts use waste biomasses feedstock, well arrangement national international policies.

Methyl oleate deoxygenation for production of diesel fuel aliphatic hydrocarbons over Pd/SBA-15 catalysts
BACKGROUND Catalytic deoxygenation is a prominent process for production of renewable fuels from vegetable oil. In this work, deoxygenation of technical grade methyl oleate to diesel fuel aliphatic hydrocarbons (C15 - C18) is evaluated with several parameters including temperature, hydrogen pressure and reaction time in a stirred batch reactor over Pd/SBA-15 catalysts. RESULTS Two different S...

متن کاملDiesel production from lignocellulosic feed: the bioCRACK process
The bioCRACK process is a promising technology for the production of second generation biofuels. During this process, biomass is pyrolized in vacuum gas oil and converted into gaseous, liquid and solid products. In cooperation with the Graz University of Technology, the liquid phase pyrolysis process was investigated by BDI - BioEnergy International AG at an industrial pilot plant, fully integr...
